ICP WEBINAR: Streamlining The EE Project Origination Process

The Environmental Defense Fund’s Investor Confidence Project (ICP) will be hosting a series of webinars targeted at specific stakeholders in the energy efficiency ecosystem.  The first of which, “ICP and Streamlined Origination: Increasing Deal Flow” on November 15th, will be targeted at project developers including ESCO's engineering firms, consultants, and contractors.

The Investor Confidence Project is dedicated to enabling a market for investment quality energy efficiency projects, by reducing transaction costs and engineering overhead, while increasing the reliability and consistency of savings.

Currently project developers invest considerable time and effort in creating one-off proposals that contain unique project definitions, proprietary methodologies and models, and unstandardized documentation.  Such proposals are difficult for decision makers and investors to underwrite and often require significant and often redundant reengineering steps.  The result of this complexity is that building owners and managers are often not confident that they will realize predicted energy savings.  Furthermore, investors are also unsure of the predicted revenue streams and future returns of projects.

By using ICP to standardized the approach to project origination and documentation, project developers can:
  • Lower their transaction costs by utilizing a repetitive and efficient process for project origination
  • Increase the certainty with which decision makers can evaluate and approve projects
  • Reduce proposal evaluation and underwriting times
  • Enhance their credibility and professionalism with clients and investors

Added up, these benefits will lead to a higher “hit rate” for proposed projects, thus increasing deal flow for project developers.

RESERVE YOUR SPACE TODAY:

Please join ICP on November 15th at 11:30am Pacific / 2:30pm Eastern for a one hour webinar on how ICP can give you the tools you need for streamlined origination.
