ICP Protocols

ICP Protocols
The core of the ICP methodology are the ICP Protocols that define a standardized road map of best practices for originating energy efficiency projects  They leverage industry accepted national standards and best practices in North America and Europe to define procedural and documentation requirements through out the various stages of a project life-cycle.  Projects that follow the requirements contained in the Protocols can be depended on by investors, owners and other stakeholders to have robust engineering, standardized documentation, and reliable energy savings.

There are six protocols which cover the majority of commercial and multifamily building energy efficiency projects. Protocol selection is based on building type (commercial and multifamily ) and on project scope and complexity from single measure retrofits to whole building deep retrofits. Complete information on how to select the appropriate ICP Protocol for your project can be found in the ICP Project Development Specification.
