The EDF Investor Confidence Project is pleased to introduce the ICP Building Button data specification, based on the DOE Building Energy Data Exchange Specification (BEDES).

​The ICP Building Button initiative will allow for a diverse and efficiency marketplace where data can easily be exchanged between project developers, investors, program managers, and a wide range of stakeholders.  The iniative is an important steppin stone towards the availability of actuarial "big data" for the energy efficiency industry including project performance.

ICP encourages all interested parties to participate in the ongoing development of thi exciting opportunity, including:
  • The LBNL BEDES team can provide free technical assistance to selected early adopters. BEDES compliant products can be recognized through the LBNL website and in communications, events, conferences, press releases, and success stories.
  • ICP and LBNL will be hosting a webinar on January 9th at 9am PST to introduce the Building Button and data specification.  
  • ICP will be continuing to work on the data specification and other components of the Building Button with industry stakeholders.  If you are interested in helping, please sign up for our Building Button Technical Forum.
